Material guidelines for Ikkunapaikka newsletter 2026
1. Newsletter spot
Newsletter spot – advertising placement within the weekly Ikkunapaikka travel news newsletter, presented as a featured item in the news roundup.
- Featured placement in the weekly news roundup sent on Fridays
- Text max. 440 characters including spaces, in Finnish
- One image 1 300 × 697 px, max size 500 kb
- If you want to include a logo, please place it in the main image
- CTA and URL included
Schedule:
- The material for the featured placement can also be delivered as a 300 × 300 px banner.
- The weekly newsletter is sent out every Friday.
- Please submit materials per email at least three working days before the agreed sending time.
2. Branded Newsletter
Branded newsletter – a dedicated email to our subscriber base, where your message is the only content featured in the newsletter.
Basic materials:
- 1–3 images 1 300 x 697 px, max size 500 kb
- Title and text 300–1 500 characters incl. spaces
- CTA, url and possible tracking codes
Content:
- Please submit all materials in Finnish or contact us in advance if you require translation services.
- We prefer short! The less content, the more likely readers will click.
- The best solution is one effective message.
- Images must always be in color.
- If you want to include a logo, please place it in the main image. Do not send logos separately.
- Header and footer are always standard formatted with Ikkunapaikka’s logo and icons.
- Please note in the text that the newsletter sender is Ikkunapaikka. Therefore, the partner’s text cannot be in first-person “We offer services for travel professionals”, but it should be in third-person e.g., “Company XYZ offers services for travel professionals”.
Schedule:
- If you wish for a specific sending date for your newsletter, arrange it at least a week in advance.
- Branded newsletters for clients are sent from Mon–Thu.
- We try to accommodate partners’ wishes, but to avoid overlaps, the margin in exceptional cases may be 1–2 weekdays. It is in everyone’s interest that there are not two branded newsletters on the same day, therefore in these cases we follow the first come, first served principle.
- Submit materials per email at least three working days before the agreed sending time.
General Guidelines
All commercial social media posts are marked with a “cooperation” or “advertisement” tag, as required by Finnish media regulations.
The posting language is Finnish. We reserve the right to edit texts for clarity, tone, or language accuracy when necessary.
Translation work is not included in the listed prices but can be provided upon request.
For multi-post campaigns, please deliver all materials by the first scheduled publishing date.
Please note: If you have also booked visibility in Ikkunapaikka’s newsletter, the same 1300 × 697 px image format can be used for social media posts as well, so no separate image material is necessarily required. If you have booked a banner on Ikkunapaikka, we can also use the same 300 × 300 px material in the newsletter, should you wish.
